A four-day escape that pairs the cedar forests of Kumrat Valley with the high alpine country above it. After the off-road jeep drive into Kumrat, the trip climbs to the meadows of Jahaz Banda and on to the turquoise Katora Lake.
The first day is an easy drive-in with a bonfire and musical night; the next two involve scenic hikes of around three hours each (Jahaz Banda and Katora Lake). Transport, hotels and meals are all handled — you just bring good shoes and a sense of adventure.
Pickup from Islamabad and departure at 4:30 AM for Kumrat (Lahore guests leave the night before). Short stay at Katlang and breakfast at Timergara, arriving Thal Village around 3:00 PM. Transfer to jeeps for the drive into Kumrat, hotel check-in, then a musical night and bonfire at Kumrat Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in the Kumrat forest.
Breakfast call at 7:00 AM, then depart for Jahaz Banda. Arrive at Gam Sair / Takki Banda and begin the hike towards Jahaz Banda (approx. 3 hours). Arrive at the meadows, with dinner and overnight stay at Jahaz Banda Meadows.
Breakfast call at 7:00 AM, then start the trek towards Katora Lake (approx. 3 hours). Explore the alpine lake and its surroundings, then trek back to Jahaz Banda for dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast, then drive back to Thal and transfer to the buses around 9:00 AM. Depart for the cities, arriving Islamabad around 8:00 PM and continuing to Lahore — end of journey.
