Overview

A four-day escape that pairs the cedar forests of Kumrat Valley with the high alpine country above it. After the off-road jeep drive into Kumrat, the trip climbs to the meadows of Jahaz Banda and on to the turquoise Katora Lake.

The first day is an easy drive-in with a bonfire and musical night; the next two involve scenic hikes of around three hours each (Jahaz Banda and Katora Lake). Transport, hotels and meals are all handled — you just bring good shoes and a sense of adventure.

Departures

From Islamabad: Every Thursday morning — Daewoo Terminal near NUST EME College. Gathering 4:00 AM, departure 4:30 AM.
From Lahore: Every Wednesday night — Daewoo Terminal, Thokar Niaz Baig. Gathering 9:30 PM, departure 10:30 PM.
Accommodation: Kumrat (Maskan Hotel) — 1 night; Jahaz Banda (Urban Resort / Punjab Hotel) — 2 nights. Vehicle is a Grand Cabin (12–13) or Toyota Coaster (22–23). Hotels are subject to availability.
