Overview
A true Karakoram trekking adventure into the wild Haramosh Valley — one of the most beautiful and least-visited corners of Gilgit-Baltistan. After driving up the Naran–Kaghan valley and the Karakoram Highway, the trip turns off the beaten track at Sassi and treks into the alpine wilderness of the Kutwal Valley.
From a base camp at Kutwal, the days are spent exploring the turquoise Kutwal Lake, the Kutwal Glacier and the iconic Haramosh Base Camp beneath the towering Haramosh Peak (7,409 m). Three nights are spent camping in the meadows and two in hotels, with bonfires under the stars. This is a moderate-to-challenging trek best suited to travellers with a good level of fitness.
